Narcissism and Pop Culture

From celebrities to politicians to reality TV and 'American Idol', the all-about-me mindset
is reflected everywhere in our society.
The effects are played out in relationships on a daily basis.

Are you in a one-sided relationship with a person
who meets their own needs at your expense?

Learn how to take care of yourself when that happens.

Signs to look for include:

Grandiosity:  a grandiose sense of self-importance, an exaggeration of achievements and talents, and an expectation to be recognized as superior without much accomplishment

Arrogance: an exaggerated sense of their own importance and/or abilities

Entitlement: an unreasonable expectation that you and others treat them as special

Lack of empathy: an inability or unwillingness to recognize or identify with your feelings or needs

Exploitative: taking advantage of you and others

Excessive admiration: a requirement for constant attention and praise

Special or unique: the need to be seen as different from most people, and only understood by and associated with other special, high-status people

Recommended Books/Movies
(During consultations, books and films specific to your needs will be suggested.)
